- :
- : I have a big fan of Final Writer and have owned it since Final Copy
- : v1.3. I think it is a great product. BUT, I don't think that your
- : comments are warranted, Woody.
- :
- : I have helped support your company for the past 4 years. I have been
- : waiting for these enhancements myself for 4 years. I have convinced
- : other Amiga users to buy your products. But I don't like your attitude
- : towards those who want something they have asked for, for so long.
- :
- : So quit with the comments, because you now have two, and possibly more,
- : wondering "if it is worth the trouble" paying for your product. What is
- : said here will play a big part in whether or not I upgrade.
-
- There is something I just noticed. The price at which Softwood is
- asking for the "full" Win95 FinalWriter is about the same as has
- been asked of us Amiga users for each upgrade. If $25 is really just
- to pay off royalties, then Softwood hasn't been making a dime off
- each upgrade we've had over the past few years.
-
- Another angle on the Win95 FW is that it could be an attempt to retain
- customers who jump from the Amiga to Win95...."Look! You can keep
- ALL your documents you wrote on the Amiga because we have a Win95
- version of Final Writer TOO!" This is not a bad thing. Soft-Logik
- is probably thinking along the same lines since they plan Win95
- and Macintosh versions of Pagestream3.
